Dale Hanson

Dale Hanson began his insurance career in 2006 with Western States Insurance in Hamilton. Hanson has been a Montana businessman for 39 years and a graduate of Gildford High School in Gildford, MT, a small agricultural community 30 miles west of Havre. He has an undergraduate degree in Communications from MSU-Billings and a graduate degree in Public Relations, also from MSU-Billings.

Hanson worked in the grain, food and seed industry in Montana for thirty four years, twenty four years with General Mills. He also served in a grain marketing advisory and risk management capacity, conducting weekly marketing classes for his clients. Hanson was also pro-actively involved with the General Mills’ safety program, Operation Zero. The General Mills’ Choteau, Montana location Hanson managed for 18 years received the General Mills Chairman’s Award for Excellence in 1988 and 1989. Hanson was a member of the Montana Grain Elevator Association for over thirty years.

Hanson writes all lines of Commercial Insurance including liability, property, auto, bonds, and workers compensation. He specializes in workers compensation insurance and is especially proud of his pro-active approach to workers compensation loss control. He also serves on the board of directors for the Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce, is a Vice-President of the Bitterroot Building Industry Association and also serves on the advisory board for Youth Homes of the Bitterroot. Hanson is also a member of the Professional Insurance Agents. He is married to Jackie and has two sons, Aaron and Adam.

Hanson says he at his best when he’s “giving back to those who have given him so much, his clients, his family, his friends, and his faith.”
