Melissa Thompson joined Western States Insurance Agency as a Benefit
Planning specialist in 2006. Before joining Western States Insurance, Melissa primarily worked in the newspaper industry along with the financial planning and life insurance industry.

Melissa has a Bachelor's degree from Montana State University - Bozeman in Secondary Education with a concentration in Business Management.

Since 2007 Melissa has been fortunate to focus her dedication, passion and knowledge on WSI internal training and development. This has been a win-win for Melissa and the employees at WSI as teaching has always been a strength and a source of great pride.

When Melissa is not assisting clients and employees, she takes great pride in her family. Together they are very active and love camping, boating and swimming. Melissa is also involved in the community and enjoys taking part in professional organizations. She enjoys meeting new people. Insurance education is a passion and continues to top her list of things to do! Melissa loves people and helping wherever she can. Whether it is a client, a co-worker, a friend or an acquaintance, Melissa strives to make each person feel welcome.
