Joshua Peterson, RHU, MHP,HIA began his benefits planning career in 1992 with Confederation Life in Tucson, Arizona as a claims processor and customer service representative. In 1994 he began to work for Insurers Administration Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona where he served as a Self-Funded Benefit Plan Specialist. In 1997 he moved to the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area where he resides today with his wife & 5 children. He worked for Premera Blue Cross as an appeals coordinator & account manager in Sales & Marketing until 2002 when he was recruited by Lifewise Assurance Company as the life & disability Regional Marketing Consultant serving Eastern Washington, Idaho, & Montana – opening the local Spokane branch presence. In 2004 Jones & Mitchell recruited Josh to work as a benefits planning producer. In 2007 Jones & Mitchell was acquired by WSI.

Josh earned his HIA (Health Insurance Associate) and MHP (Managed Healthcare Professional) designations in 2000 & 2001 through The Health Insurance Association of America. He also earned his RHU (Registered Health Underwriter) designation in 2003 through The American College. He holds his Idaho resident & Washington non-resident producer license in Life & Health. He was on the membership board for the Spokane Association of Health Underwriters in 2005, and also the membership board for Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. - Inland Pacific Chapter in 2008.
