Char Steinley

Char grew up in Colorado, graduating from Delta High. She also lived in Oklahoma City, Salt Lake and Seattle, before moving to Idaho in 1995. Soon after landing in Coeur d'Alene, she was hired as CSR/Comm'l Producer for Harris Dean Insurance, which was acquired by WSI Jan, 2011. Now, as the only woman producer in the branch, she specializes in Professional Liability, especially Medical-Malpractice, which is her primary focus after 30 years in the industry. She values her CIC designation, received in 1994.

Char never had children, but is blessed to have two grandchildren, Taylor and Margi. Her husband, Oscar, is a 6'6" Norwegian, with one daughter, Chris & husband Dave. Horse activities are at the center of many gatherings, with trail rides, bon fires and the like. The animals include 3 Tennessee Walkers, a Kentucky Mountain horse and one really sweet mule named Beaner! There are two Brittany Spaniel bird dogs and one really spoiled kitty. Char & Oscar's yearly vacation for several years is to help friends in Montana and North Dakota with annual cattle drives and branding. It is beyond special! Hobbies include most anything outdoors, attending 4-H events with granddaughters, swim meets, etc. Char is very involved in the CDA Rotary, Jr. Miss Program, and Wishing Star Foundation.
