Dale Hanson began his insurance career in 2006 with Western States Insurance in the Bitterroot Valley. Hanson has been a Montana businessman for over 30 years. A graduate of Gildford High School in Gildford, MT, an agricultural community 30 miles west of Havre, Hanson also has an Undergrad Degree in Communications, and a Graduate Degree in Public Relations, from MSU-Billings.
Hanson worked in the grain, food and specialized seed industry in Montana for thirty four years, twenty four years with General Mills. He also served in a grain marketing advisory and risk management capacity, conducting weekly marketing classes for his clients. Hanson was also pro-actively involved with the General Mills’ Safety Program, Operation Zero. The General Mills’ Choteau, Montana Terminal location that Hanson managed for 18 years received the General Mills’ Chairman’s Award for Excellence in 1988 and 1989. Hanson was also a member of the Montana Grain Elevator Association for over thirty years.
Dale writes all lines of Commercial Insurance including liability, property, auto, bonds, health & life, and workers compensation. He specializes in workers compensation insurance and is especially proud of his pro-active approach to workers compensation through analysis and loss control. Hanson is a member of the Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Bitterroot Building Industry Association, serving as its President in 2011. Hanson is also a member of the Professional Insurance Agents of Montana. Dale is married to Jackie and they have two grown sons, Aaron and Adam.
