Joe Anderson currently works as a Commercial Lines Account Executive with Western States Insurance Agency in Boise, Idaho. As an outsourced Risk Management and Insurance Consultant, he develops strategic plans to maximize coverage, minimize "self-insurance" surprises, and stabilize and reduce overall cost for his clients. Our innovative system of delivering risk reducing services helps our clients educate their people and improve the long-term risk management expertise in their organizations.
Mr. Anderson began his insurance career with Marsh of Boise, in 2001, after four years serving as a commercial lender. Over the past 8 years, Joe has had the opportunity to work with Middle Market commercial operations throughout the Northwest, the States, and Internationally. From risk management on commercial real estate schedules reaching over $1 billion in assets, to reviewing worldwide contracts for insurability, and property and liability exposures for one of the largest construction firms in the Northwest, to working with exporters to secure their products, payments, and liability exposures overseas, Mr Anderson has a broad basis for delivering client value. The Technology and Health Care industries are also a major area of focus with increasing clientele and services. Workers Compensation, Property, and Tough-to-Place liability accounts are also areas of specific product expertise. He is also currently active in affinity services, developing insurance programs for specific industry niches.
He holds BBA in Accounting and Finance from Pacific Lutheran in Tacoma and is a graduate of the Hartford School of Insurance and Leadership Idaho Agriculture. Mr. Anderson is also a federally-appointed member of the Idaho District Export Council.
Along with his wife Cherish, and children Jeremiah and Hannah, Joe enjoys the outdoor adventures presented in Idaho and works at being a bigger blessing to his internal team, clientele, and the churches and charitable organizations he is involved with. Sporting clays, travel, hunting, camping, European strategy games, and helping people in tough spots are all outside-of-work areas of interest.
Active in the community, he co-founded the BNI networking chapter - Treasure Valley Accelerators (not currently active). He serves on the Board for the Idaho Affordable Housing Association as the Membership Chair and is a current member of the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, the Meridian Kiwanis, Idaho Health Care Association, and the Building Owners and Managers Association.
Joe enjoys working with and connecting great people, and he looks forward to working with you.
