Karla Andersen

Karla Andersen grew up in Santa Monica, California. She is now a resident of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Karla graduated high school in 1971 with a scholarship to Bryman Institute.

Karla started in the insurance industry in 1980, working as an office manager for an agency in California. In 1982, she started working with Eastman and Company in Burbank, California as a Commercial Lines Account Executive. Karla then joined GIC Insurance in Tarzana, California as their Commercial Lines Supervisor where she worked until she relocated to Coeur d'Alene and joined the team at Harris Dean Insurance.

Western States was proud to bring the Harris Dean Agency on board at the beginning of 2011. We are excited that Karla is now part of the Western States team. Her primary focus is commercial insurance where she has marketing, quoting, servicing and heavy contracting experience.

Karla and her husband, Jim, have two cats, Gracie and Poncho. Their ideal vacation spot is Costa Rica. Karla loves gardening, traveling with her husband, and reading books. She also makes beaded jewelry in her spare time.

Karla's husband Jim is currently serving our country as a Military Contractor and is stationed in Afghanistan. Jim hopes to retire in the next four years.
