Mark Collson

Mark G. Collson III was born and raised in Newport, OR. He is a graduate of the School of Business Administration at Oregon State University. Prior to joining Western States Insurance in 2008, Mark co-owned and operated Ken Doerfler Insurance since 1975. Mark started his insurance career with  Safeco Insurance Company’s Marketing Dept. He specializes in Commercial Insurance providing coverage to numerous government entities and private businesses in Lincoln County and other areas of the state. Mark served as Mayor of Newport from 1984-1996, is active in several local service organizations and is a former Chairperson and current member of the Oregon Coast Aquarium Board. Mark possesses a broad background of experience in the public and private sectors.
